: ミラノサローネは、毎年30万人前後が参加する、世界最大規模のデザインイベント。一口にミラノサローネと言っても、実際には多数のイベントの複合イベントになっている。

　この中で最もビジネス色が濃いのは、ミラノの郊外・ロー市にある巨大展示会場「新見本市会場」で行なわれる見本市「サローネ国際家具見本市」と「サローネ国際インテリア小物見本市」。正式名称「i Saloni Milano」と呼ばれるこちらのイベントは、今年で50周年を迎えるが、まだまだ活発で若い精神を持ち続けているとしてあえて ”50years young” を標語として掲げていた。
