latest rag weave 裂織
Summer is always somehow too busy to do any weaving. Now I'm back to my loom and weaving again. This warp is off white-ish stripe. I was looking for light and cheery colour scheme. A friend of mine gave me a vintage French tea towel. It's off-white, light grey and red stripe. I wanted to make it cheery so I used old tan cotton fabric instead of grey. Kincyaku (draw string bag)
JUGEMテーマ：handmade taleThese are 19 small sakiori (rag weave) kinchaku (draw string bag). Why 19? I bought 2 metres off-white cotton fabric and used it as lining. There were enough for 19 kincyaku. It's been hard finding time to weave but I received a few inquiries and I spent a few days weaving."Bright colour" was the order. Bright colour and fringed edge. new room for vintage JUKI TR-7 treadle sewing machine
I finally found a space for JUKI TR-7. It's a little passage to back door. Camping stuff, gardening stuff, car tires and skis are stored there and I'm a bit sorry for the vintage sewing machine. But it's a room with big window and has lots of light. We don't usually use back door so this bit of space needed a serious cleaning (There were many, many dead bugs). morning walk
Every morning I walk with my dog for two hours. Some people might think that is ridiculously long. I think so too. But I'm just following the dog. She never really eager to go home. Singer treadle sewing machine is fixed.
A new leather belt I bought for my Singer treadle sewing machine arrived.
